Open Source Software

I had been interested in open source software, which is IT culture to create and share novel software. Many developers had been committed to OSS projects. However, I had not since I thought it is too difficult for me. To commit to OSS, I have to find bugs, propose improvements, or discuss some issues. I haven't had these experiences, and I had to do these things in English. This is the reason why I had not committed to any OSS.

I attended an event last Sunday to get experience to commit to an OSS project. In the event, OSS experts lectured and adviced to beginners how to commit to an OSS. Of course, I attended the event as a beginner. I could learn many things I didn't know for OSS from OSS experts. I also learned what committing to an OSS is not difficult.

At the end of the event, I could propose an issue and improvement for an OSS project. I could get confidence, and I think that I will be able to commit to OSS projects from now on.
